Portraits Of Boston: A Different Perspective

“I was a drama major in college, but instead of pursuing that, I got a job at a group home working with children who came from some really tough situations. I went in just to have a job, but I walked out with a whole different perspective on things. I realized how much people differ in the opportunities they have, and how people might look put together on the outside while their lives may be far from put together.

The funny thing is, my mom is a preacher and she is always helping people, so when I was younger, I used to get mad at her: ‘Mom, why are you always helping everyone?’ I found myself in a different line of work but doing the same thing.”
