BSO Offers Cheaper Seats To Younger Crowds

The Boston Symphony Orchestra kicks off its new season Thursday night, and the organization has plans to entice younger, more diverse crowds to Symphony Hall this year.
The BSO will be offering reduced price tickets for Casual Friday concerts and through its Young Professionals Group — known as "YoPro."
Some other affordable options include $20 dollar tickets for patrons under 40, and pre-paid unlimited access cards for college and high school students ($20 and $10 respectively)
Music Director Andris Nelsons said it’s the BSO’s responsibility to be more accessible.
“We are really very importantly thinking and practically acting on things like education and inspiring and attracting wider audiences," he explained.
The BSO will continue to make $9 tickets available for people of all ages -- as long as they're willing to wait in line on specified days and at certain times -- in hopes of nabbing cheap seats for select performances.
