Why To Exercise Today: Because Beyonce Makes You

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYP4MgxDV2U

I defy you to watch this and not move. Is this not the catchiest little get-up video you've ever seen? (If not, I'd love to hear what is.) The first version is the official one. (Fusty reaction: I think I'd do it without the high heels, and definitely add a jogging bra.) But the second, below, makes the choreography clearer, and is oddly endearing.

Thanks to the Mayor's Health Line Blog for sharing word of the new videos. It reports that the Beyonce video will be part of a "national dance-in" at middle schools across the country on May 3 at 1:42:

In order to promote exercise and healthy habits, Beyonce released a rewritten version of her “Get Me Bodied” song. In the new music video, “Move Your Body”, Beyonce joins kids to perform a flash workout routine in a school cafeteria. This project teams up with Michelle Obama’s Lets Move Campaign. Let’s Move! is an initiative dedicated to solving the problem of obesity within a generation, so that children born today will grow up healthier and able to pursue their dreams.

This program aired on April 28, 2011. The audio for this program is not available.
