Poll: Is Our Health Care System More Like A Store, Airline, Automaker Or What?

If CommonHealth had a Wonk-to-Wild award for the best performance turning dry health policy into fun, this week's inaugural prize would go to Scott Hensley of NPR's "Shots" blog. In his post, How Broken Is The U.S. Health Care System? Let's Count The Ways, Scott offers this poll: (To vote, go to the Shots post, this is just a snapshot.)

In effect, Scott has converted the Institute of Medicine's eye-glazing 450-page report, "Best Care at Lower Cost: The Path to Continuously Learning Health Care in America" into a delightfully thought-provoking survey. I'd add just one suggestion: Some of us might want to come up with our own analogies. Readers? Would you like to suggest your own image to best describe our imperfect system?
