Mass. Now Has 164 Known Cases Of Coronavirus

Massachusetts now has 164 presumptive positive cases of coronavirus in the state.

Of those, 45 have been confirmed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

There are 108 cases tied to the Biogen leadership meeting held in Boston in the last week of February. That's just four more than was reported Saturday.

Thirteen people are or have been hospitalized. Nearly 75 of the known cases are in Middlesex County.

Department of Public Health Commissioner Monica Bharel said earlier Sunday that the state has tested 799 people for coronavirus.

The governor said the goal is to test 1,000 people a day, but wouldn't say when the state would reach that pace. Drive-through testing centers would be available "soon" in Massachusetts, Baker said.
