Consider This: Advocates urge Acting Mayor Janey to stop ‘criminalizing poverty’ by evacuating tents at Mass and Cass

A group of doctors, medical experts and civil rights advocates are calling on Acting Boston Mayor Kim Janey to halt her plan to remove the street encampments along Melnea Cass Boulevard and Massachusetts Ave. in Boston — an area also known as 'Mass. and Cass.'

Janey began what she’s called a “general cleanup” of the area this week — removing tents and relocating people into shelter.
