Consider This: COVID-19 surge makes for uncertain start to the school week in Boston and beyond

In Boston, 46,000 students headed back to class this morning, after a holiday dominated by Omicron set off a scramble to get students and teachers tested before schools reopened.

More than a 1,000 total district staff were out today — mostly for COVID-related reasons.
