Lit Crawl Boston is set to return for Year 3 on Thursday, June 6.
Come celebrate the city’s literary past, present and future on a night of irreverent literary programming in Boston’s Back Bay. Over three evening sessions, intrepid readers will choose from a variety of unique literary events including games, performances, provocations and other oddities, all in surprising venues ranging from cafes and art galleries to barbershops and furniture stores.
This moveable feast in one of the most walkable cities on the planet is FREE. WBUR CitySpace will host the Awkward Afterparty, featuring a poemjazz performance. Using his voice as a musical instrument, Robert Pinsky, along with musicians Stan Strickland on reeds and vocals, Hankus Netsky on piano, and Catherine Bent on cello, will improvise a conversation between the melodies of spoken sentences and the melodies of music. Will there be awkward mingling and hesitant dancing? Almost certainly. Will you want to be there? Most definitely. Cash bar.
Lit Crawl is co-presented by the Boston Book Festival, the Boston Literary District and the Litquake Foundation, with partial funding from the Fuller Foundation.
