Celebrate Womxn's History Month with The ARTery! Join us for a night of poetry and spoken word with Boston's Poet Laureate, Porsha Olayiwola.

Olayiwola is a writer, performer, educator and curator who uses afro-futurism and surrealism to examine historical and current issues in the Black, womxn, and queer diasporas. She is an Individual World Poetry Slam Champion and the artistic director at MassLEAP, a literary youth organization.

She recently released her first collection, "I Shimmer Sometimes Too."

Asiyah Herrera, the 826 Boston Youth Literary Advisory Board Team Leader, will open for Porsha, 826 Boston will be selling copies of their book, “The Whole World Is Watching”, a poetry anthology created by 826 Boston Students and DJ Troy Frost will provide music for the evening.
