Iowa Caucus Primer

Iowans supporting Democratic presidential candidates won't just show up at a polling place this Thursday and use a voting machine to cast their vote. They stand in corners for candidates, there's a crazy math equation to determine how much support a candidate has; then caucus-goers may choose to stand in another corner. We speak with Marcia Fulton, vice-chair of the Union County Democrats in Iowa, about how the process works.

Lady Bugs

The Asian Ladybird Beetle may be using our homes to hibernate this winter. The beetles congregate in numbers in calm, warm places to pass the time until the spring. David Simser is an entomologist with the Cape Cod Cooperative Extension in Massachusetts and he describes some of the calls he gets about ladybug home visitors.

Christopher Guest

Here and Now's Andrea Shea explains how Christopher Guest, the actor, filmmaker and musician behind the cult rock spoof "This is Spinal Tap" joined the list of luminaries to be awarded an honorary doctorate from the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
