With oil prices at an all time high of $120 a barrel and home prices down nearly 13 percent nationwide, President Bush holds a press conference today to address the country's mounting economic problems. Our guest is Bob Deans, national correspondent for Cox Newspapers.

Diabetes and African American Kids

Ebony magazine reports that in some U.S. cities, African American youth make up 90 percent of new cases of Type Two diabetes. We speak with Dr. Eugene Wright, medical director for primary care services at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina about why this is happening and what can be done to address it.

Runner with Prosthetic Legs

South African runner and double amputee Oscar Pistorius begins an appeal today for the right to run in the Beijing Olympic Games. Pistorius was barred by the International Association of Athletic Federations. At issue are his state of the art "cheetah" prosthetic legs, which may give him an unfair advantage over other runners. A ruling is due within a month.
