Surprise Mission to North Korea

Former President Bill Clinton has met with the country's reclusive and ailing leader, Kim Jong Il. The White House won't comment until the mission is over, but Clinton is said to be seeking the release of two American journalists who were recently sentenced to 12 years of hard labor for crossing into North Korea. The BBC's Seoul correspondent John Sudworth says Clinton's visit might mean their release is imminent.

Ric O'Barry used to train dolphins for the "Flipper" television series. Now he is on a mission to stop the killing of dolphins in Japan. Ric's work is the focus of the new documentary "The Cove."

Christians in Pakistan

Eight people were killed in an anti-Christian rampage in the Pakistani town of Gorja this weekend. Witnesses say thousands of angry Muslims burned the looted the town after a rumor that a Koran had been desecrated by Christians. Sean Carberry is a producer for America Abroad Media and was in Gorja just after the attack. He discusses the role of radical muslim clerics, as well as the possibility that terrorists were involved.

Physician Liability and Prescription Drugs

The release of the autopsy report in the Michael Jackson case has been delayed indefinitely as investigators look evidence to support a manslaughter charge against Jackson's doctor, Conrad Murray. Dr. Bryan Liang, law professor at California Western School of Law and associate professor of anesthesiology at University of California San Diego, explains how the drug, Propofol, should be used and says that it should not be used in the home as it may have been used in Jackson's case.

Jazz Saxophonist Charlie Kohlhase

The Boston area saxophonist has been a fixture on the local jazz scence for 20 years. His latest CD, Charlie Kohlhase's Explorers Club, is getting rave reviews. Charlie also just happens to be one of the voices on the air overnights here at our mother station, WBUR. He joins us in the studio to talk about the CD and also the recent passing of legend George Russell.
