2012: The End of the World?

Conspiracy theorists are fixated on a new apocalyptic date: December 21, 2012. That's the day the 5,000 plus year Mayan calendar resets. It's also the first time in 26,000 years the December solstice sun aligns with the galactic plane. Tomorrow, the Hollywood film 2012 comes out, portraying in heart-pounding detail the end of the world.
