Sneak Peak: Great American Songwriter Jimmy Webb

Singer-songwriter Jimmy Webb is the creative force behind some of the most loved songs of all time, including  "Galveston," "Wichita Lineman," "By the Time I Get To Phoenix," "Up Up And Away" and "MacArthur Park." Webb's classic American music has been interpreted by dozens of artists, including Glen Campbell, Linda Ronstadt and The Supremes. But his new CD, "Just Across The River," is a real treat for his fans because it features Webb singing his own songs. He's joined by the performers who love his work, including Campbell, Ronstadt, Mark Knopfler, Jackson Browne and Willie Nelson.

On Labor Day, Robin Young will have a special extended conversation with Webb. He offers insight into some of his great songs on the new CD, and of course, you'll get to hear the music.
