Can you pronounce "gyro?" What about "boatswain?" Do you mix up "historic" and "historical?"

If you're all set with those words, you probably don't need "100 Words Almost Everyone Mixes Up Or Mangles" or its companion "100 Words Almost Everyone Mispronounces," recently released by the editors of the American Heritage Dictionaries. We'll speak with Steve Kleinedler, one of those editors, and we want to know: what words do you mispronounce, mangle, or just get wrong? What words would you expect to be featured in either book?

For those among the "horde" of you that confuse "phase" with "faze" or can't remember which "jibe," "gybe," or "gibe" to use in a sentence, the kind editors at the American Heritage Dictionaries have teamed-up with us at Here & Now to help you out. To get un-fazed by your "phase" problem so you'll stop being "gibed" at work, check out the excerpts from "100 Words Almost Everyone Mixes Up Or Mangles" below.
