138 million shoppers are expected to descend on stores today, boosting sales by 3 percent over last year. Big chain stores are offering deals like $3 appliances and free shipping on almost everything. But a group of locally-owned shops in Oakland, Calif. is trying to convince residents to shop at local stores by launching "Plaid Friday." We speak to Kerri Johnson, who started the movement and owns the Professor Squirrel Shop in Oakland.
