We talk with Arizona state representative John Kavanagh, one of a number of Republican lawmakers across the country looking to deny citizenship to children born on U.S. soil to illegal immigrants.  They call themselves "State Legislators for Legal Immigration."

Kavanagh says the children, whom some have labeled "anchor babies," are not protected by the Constitution because they owe allegiance to the country of their parents' birth, and not to the United States.

Arizona is one of 14 states where lawmakers plan to introduce bills to assert a state's right to grant or deny citizenship, with the hope that the issue will make it to the Supreme Court.

This segment aired on January 7, 2011.
