When Ludwig Bemelmans published "Madeline" in 1939, a classic children's book series was born.

Readers around the world fell in love with the red-haired heroine who lives with eleven little girls in "an old house in Paris that was covered in vines." Now Bemelmans' grandson, John Bemelmans Marciano, is carrying on the series.

We talk to John about the newest addition "Madeline At The White House" where Madeline and her schoolmates visit the president's daughter.

This segment aired on February 17, 2011.
