As anti-regime and pro-Gadhafi forces battled in the eastern oil port of Brega, Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi vowed to fight to the “last man and last woman” to defend the country.  Addressing supporters and foreign media in Tripoli, Gadhafi said "we will defend Libya from the north to the south."

Abdul Rahim Al Farsi was inside the tent when Gadhafi spoke.  He reports for the BBC's Arabic service and joins us from Tripoli.

This segment aired on March 2, 2011.
