Paul Monti's son Jared, of Raynham, Massachusetts, was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2006. Jared, an Army sergeant, was killed while trying to rescue a fellow soldier who had been wounded, and he was awarded the Medal of Honor for his bravery that day. Now Paul Monti is trying to raise money to place flags at soldier graves on Cape Cod.
