Oscar-nominated and Tony-winning writer and director Arthur Laurents died last week at the age of 93. Though he wrote screenplays for "The Way We Were" and "The Turning Point" he is perhaps best known for writing the books to the legendary musicals "Gypsy" and "West Side Story."

In 2009, Robin Young spoke with Laurents, who at the age of 91, directed a Broadway production of "West Side Story" and published a memoir "Mainly on Directing: Gypsy, West Side Story, and Other Musicals."

This segment aired on May 10, 2011.
