A new study released this month in the American Journal of Public Health found that in the Democratic Republic of Congo, four women are raped every five minutes—26 times the rate previously reported by the United Nations.

We speak to Tia Palermo, a co-author on the study, and Jocelyn Kelly of the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative.
