As President Obama tours a Chrysler factory in Ohio, the latest jobless numbers show employers added the fewest jobs in eight months and the unemployment rate rose to 9.1 percent.

The President's economic adviser Austan Goolsbee said in a statement this morning that "there are always bumps on the road to recovery, but the overall trajectory of the economy has improved dramatically over the past two years."

But, some economy watchers such as Peter Morici and Ben Smith see more gloom and doom.
