If you think that the competition shows on the Food Network are tough, try the pastry finals of the M.O.F. or "Meilleurs Ouvrier de France."

Every four years, a selected few pastry chefs undergo a rigorous three-day test where they make everything from lollipops to sugar sculptures and wedding cakes.

The chefs all hope to be named one of the Best Craftsmen of France, a title they'll hold for the rest of their lives. Filmmakers Chris Hegedus and D A Pennebaker had unprecedented behind the scenes access to the finals of the 2007 pastry competition. The result is the documentary "Kings of Pastry" which is being aired on public television stations around the country tonight as part of the POV series.

This segment originally aired in 2010.

This segment aired on June 21, 2011.
