New Hampshire held its first official presidential primary in 1916, but the event had little bearing on the nation's politics until 1952 when the the media began covering the horse race among candidates.

Today, more than 600 journalists are scurrying across the state to cover the first in the nation primary. Here and Now's David Boeri looks back at the last sixty years.
