The Apple iPhone 4s went on sale in China Friday and a large crowd of frustrated buyers threw eggs at the facade of the Apple store in Beijing when they were told the store wouldn't open because of crowd concerns.

Some of the buyers were teams of migrant workers hired by scalpers, who buy up limited supplies of iPhones and other Apple products to sell for a big markup in China or abroad.
