White House Frees 10 States From No Child Left Behind

The White House announces Thursday that 10 states will receive waivers from the No Child Left Behind law.

Under the deal, the states must show they will prepare children for college and for the workplace. It sets new targets for achievement, rewarding the best performing schools and helping the schools that are not performing.
