With summer coming, we thought we'd recommend a beach read, a book that Entertainment Weekly has put on its list of "Best New Paperbacks."

J. Courtney Sullivan's novel "Maine" comes out in paperback this week. The book tells the story of four women from three generations of the Boston-Irish Kelleher family who take a wealth of secrets with them as they gather at the family beach house in Maine.

Sullivan told Here & Now‘s Robin Young that her own family history shaped her novel. Both her father and mother have Irish roots "so we're all Boston Irish all the time," she said.
