Its a big week for Mitt Romney — after a long and hard race, Romney has now won enough delegates to secure the GOP nomination for the Presidency.

Romney chose to mark the moment of his triumph with businessman Donald Trump at a fundraiser at Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas.

The event raised millions, but Trump has stolen the headlines with his attempt to revive the debunked theory that President Obama was born in Kenya.

Romney did not directly address or refute those claims yesterday, leading to questions about why he has chosen to embrace Donald Trump at this moment in his campaign.

Guest:

  • Rick Klein, senior Washington editor for ABC World News and co-host of the network's political webcast "Top Line."

This segment aired on May 30, 2012.
