Tracie Bennett Takes Broadway By Storm As Judy Garland

Actress Tracie Bennett has gotten rave reviews and a Tony Nomination for her portrayal of Judy Garland in her waning hours, trying frantically to make a comeback during a tortuous run at London's Talk of the Town nightclub in 1969.

The play is called "End of the Rainbow." She's also gotten letters from gay men responding to her portrayal of Garland, including a young man who said that seeing a Judy Garland play saved his life.

Robin Young visited Tracie Bennett at the theater and talks to her about the challenges of taking on such a role that has so much resonance for so many people.
