Looking to draw a sharp contrast with Republicans, President Obama is calling for a one year extension of the Bush Tax Cuts for families earning less than $250,000.

The President's push comes after Friday's job numbers, which showed continued weak growth in hiring. Those numbers are also part of the calculation on Capitol Hill, as Congress returns from its July 4th break. Republicans are planning a series of votes including a repeal of President Obama's heath care act and an extension of all the Bush tax cuts.
