Tour De France Riders Prepare For Mountains
ResumeTuesday is a day of rest for riders in the 99th Tour de France, and just in time.
After finishing stage 15 of the 20 stage race Monday, current leader Bradley Wiggins of Great Britain told French television, "A lot of people are tired now. Mentally more than physically."
42 riders have quit the race, leaving 156 to chase Wiggins through the mountains and into Paris where it all ends on Sunday.
Wiggins leads his nearest competitor by two minutes and five seconds and there's a good chance he will hang on to the yellow jersey and become the first Englishman ever to win the Tour.
