The Denver man bitten by a shark on Monday is recovering in a Boston hospital today, after Monday's attack off Ballston Beach in Truro, Massachusetts. Chris Myers was swimming with his son when he was bitten on the legs.

He says he'll be more careful from now on.

"I've been swimming at that beach ever since I was a little kid and nobody in recent memory has had a shark attack which [is] what they think that was. Our odds are still pretty good but maybe people need to be a little more careful than I was," he said to Good Morning America.

Beaches on the Cape remain open after the attack.

Guest:

  • Stephen St. Clair, beach supervisor for Truro, Massachusetts
