Paul Ryan Runs For Vice President And Representative
ResumeWhen the first round of absentee ballots in Wisconsin goes out on Thursday, voters will see one name twice: Paul Ryan.'
Because of election rules in Wisconsin, Ryan cannot remove his name from the race for reelection to his seat as Wisconsin's representative from the first district.
But he probably wouldn't want to be removed anyway. Ryan's campaign to hold onto his seat may now be helping the Romney-Ryan ticket in Wisconsin, which is a swing state. But whether or not Ryan can hold onto his seat remains to be seen.
While he has held the seat since 1998, the district has a history of electing representatives from both parties.
