Former Nebraska Senator Chuck Hagel is being grilled by the Senate Armed Services Committee today, as it considers his nomination to be the new secretary of defense.

Hagel served two terms in the Senate, representing Nebraska as a Republican. He is also a decorated veteran of the war in Vietnam.

He's being questioned about his views on Israel and Iran.
