People in in Arco, Idaho, are feeling the effects of the shutdown.

Hiker Dr. Jo Elliott-Blakeslee has been missing in Craters of the Moon National Monument for about a week and a half.

Last week, the body of her hiking partner, Amelia Linkert was found.

But the search by staff from Crater and other national parks was disrupted after the park staff was furloughed on Tuesday.

Now family members are asking other hikers to help.
