Doomsday Shelter Takes Shape Underground In Kansas

Atchison, Kansas, is known as the birthplace of Amelia Earhart, but one day it might also be known for a giant survival shelter.
The Vivos Group, led by Robert Vicino, has bought the majority of an old underground military installation near the city, with the plan of turning it into a giant survival shelter called the Vivos Survival Shelter & Resort.
The Vivos Group already has one installation in Indiana that holds about 80 people. They say the one in Kansas will be able to accommodate up to 5,000 people.
