It's been more than two weeks since the health insurance exchanges under the Affordable Care Act opened for enrollment.

Thirty-six states are offering healthcare.gov as the main path for people to sign up for new coverage, but the site has suffered from technical glitches and an onslaught of users that has made for a bumpy roll-out.

NPR's Julie Rovner joins us to explain how the national exchange is doing.
