The fans of two NFL teams will be celebrating Sunday night. Their teams will be headed to Super Bowl XLVIII.

Sunday afternoon, the New England Patriots play the Broncos in Denver in the AFC championship game. Then that evening, the Seattle Seahawks will host the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC title contest.

The winners will tackle each other on Sunday Feb. 2 at MetLife Stadium. That stadium doesn't have a roof and it's in New Jersey where it's winter. It's the first time a Super Bowl has been played outside in an area where cold and messy weather could affect it.

NPR sports correspondent Mike Pesca joins Here & Now's Robin Young with his prognostications for the games.
