E.U. Leaders React To Swiss Immigration Vote
ResumeSwiss voters narrowly approved a proposal to limit the number of foreigners allowed to live and work in Switzerland. The referendum was mobilized by right wing populists and passed by 50.3 percent of voters.
European leaders expressed concern today about the vote. Germany's finance minister, Wolfgang Schäuble, told the German public network ARD, "We regret this decision. It will cause a lot of difficulties for Switzerland."
