The most famous snowboarder in the world, two-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White, has lost his Olympic crown.

The two-time champion in the half pipe managed a fourth-place finish in the finals yesterday. The winner was Switzerland's Iouri Podladtchikov.

Snowboarding, which also includes events like slopestyle, has become one of the hottest tickets at the Winter Olympics, although some of the athletes still regard the X-Games as the sport's more natural home.

The BBC's Alex Capstick sampled the atmosphere at Sochi's Extreme Park.
