NPR's Tamara Keith is in Sochi and joins Here & Now's Robin Young with an update on the Olympic Games.

Injured Russian skater Evgeni Plushenko is taking heat from his 2002 Olympic games competitor Alexei Yagudin for taking the spot of a younger Russian skater, then withdrawing from competition yesterday.

Watchers of speedskating are wondering whether the U.S. speedskating suits are slowing down athletes like Shani Davis, who's failed to medal so far.

Temperatures in Sochi are so warm, athletes in skiing events are competing in shirtsleeves. Is it affecting competition? Both U.S. alpine skiers Bode Miller and Ted Ligety missed chances for medals today.
