So far this year, 33 firefighters have died in the line of duty across the country. All the deaths hit close to home. Yesterday, the home was Boston.

Two of the city's firefighters lost their lives while battling a nine-alarm blaze that destroyed a four-story building in the city's historic Back Bay neighborhood.
