There's no word on if there have been any arrests after police clashed with protesters in Albuquerque, N.M.

Demonstrators on Sunday were protesting police involvement in 37 shootings since 2010.

Twenty-three of them were fatal.

Mayor Richard Berry says what had begun as a peaceful protest turned violent, with rock throwing and protesters blocking traffic. One police officer was injured.

Rita Daniels, a reporter at KUNM in Albuquerque, joins Here & Now's Jeremy Hobson to discuss the demonstration and the events leading up to it.
