If you fly frequently, you may be surprised by the results of the latest national Airline Quality Rating report. Researchers found that airlines are running late more often and baggage is mishandled more, compared to last year.

Yet the authors of the report note that, overall, airline performance is at an all-time high and the number of passenger complaints in 2013 fell 15 percent compared to 2012.

The co-author and founder of the Airline Quality Rating, Brent Bowen, joins Here & Now's Meghna Chakrabarti to discuss the findings.

Guest

  • Brent D. Bowen, dean of the College of Aviation at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott, Arizona, and creator of the national Airline Quality Rating. He tweets @atpdc3.

This segment aired on April 8, 2014.
