Republican Senators Rand Paul of Kentucky and Dean Heller of Nevada are condemning remarks by Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy. Both had previously strongly supported Bundy's fight with the U.S. Bureau of Land Management.

Bundy is the Nevada rancher who refuses to pay the federal government more than $1 million in grazing fees. With the help of armed supporters, he chased away federal rangers who came to seize his cattle.

Today, The New York Times published an interview with Bundy in which he makes disturbing comments about slavery. The reporter, Adam Nagourney, joins Here & Now's Robin Young to discuss his reporting and reaction.
