Clippers Lose Endorsement Deals Over Sterling Controversy

Companies like Kia, State Farm, Red Bull, Virgin America and CarMax announced they are cutting ties with the Clippers amid controversy over racist comments team owner Donald Sterling allegedly made. CarMax called the comments “completely unacceptable.”

The lost revenue could give the NBA additional incentive to suspend Sterling for conduct detrimental to the league, one sports attorney said. The NBA is planning a news conference Tuesday to discuss its investigation into Sterling.
