Google Developers Conference Preview: Thermostats, TVs, Car Screens
PlayOnly three weeks after Apple's developer conference, which hosted thousands of software programmers, Google is looking towards its own developers conference in San Francisco, which opens on Wednesday.
It's expected to focus on new outlets for its software, including thermostats, cars and watches, as well as its more signature products, including phones, browser tools and tablets.
Conferences like this one, dubbed Google I/O, are critical for massive companies like Google, which rely on creative developers to create the apps that run on their operating systems.
Liz Gannes, senior editor of technology trends and innovation with Re/Code, joins Here & Now's Sacha Pfeiffer to preview the conference and the innovations expected to be unveiled.
