40 Indian Workers Kidnapped In Iraq
ResumeForty of Indian workers have been kidnapped in the city of Mosul — and it is not yet known where they are, or why they were taken. An estimated 10,000 migrant workers from India reside in Iraq, and some 6 million total in the Middle East region.
NPR’s Julie McCarthy talked to Here & Now's Sacha Pfeiffer about the status of the abducted Indians, and what measures the Indian government is taking to free the workers.
