Hong Kong Protesters Demand Greater Voice
PlayTens of thousands of Hong Kong residents took part in a pro-democracy street protest today, days after nearly 800,000 people voted in a mock referendum for full democracy.
Protesters are concerned China's central government in Beijing doesn't respect the principle of "one country, two systems" that has allowed Hong Kong to retain civil liberties since its handover from British to Chinese control in 1997.
Shirley Yam, vice-chairperson of the Hong Kong Journalists Association, was at the protests today and joins Here & Now's Jeremy Hobson with details.
